Sweetwater is the legendary Mill Valley music club which for over 30 years has been the premier live music location in the North Bay for nationally and internationally known acts. We played 2 sets, both times joined by legendary keyboard player (Hot Tuna) and bass player (Jefferson Starship) Pete Sears on piano and accordion. Both sets featured all original songs.

The Black & White Ball is a huge block party that benefits the San Francisco Symphony. With 10 locations and multiple headliners -- including Los Lobos, Bob Weir & Ratdog, McCoy Tyner, Kool & The Gang, Tommy Castro, Dave Alvin & Sy Klopps -- that year's Ball was a unique event, particularly if you liked to dress up.
The FOBs' first East Bay gig was a fundraiser for Wavy Gravy's Camp Winnarainbow, a wonderful summer camp for inner city kids. David Gans opened, and the incomparable Pete Sears joined us.
The Europe 2001 tour kicked off at the world famous Troubadour. This is the place where the Stones first met Charlie Watts. Bob Dylan played there. So did Hendrix. And then the FOBs! Thanks to Giles McNamee....
The 17th annual Coastal Habitat Protection Festival ran for two days. We played the second day with Gregg's Eggs and the Tubes. G.E. Smith, Jorma Kaukonen, and Jack Casady joined us for an incendiary "Highway 61 Revisited".
Day 2 of the 17th Annual A La Carte In The Park Festival featured the Fabulous Thunderbirds as headliner, with the FOBs, Lady Bianca and Lucky Peterson as the other acts. 24 of San Francisco's finest restaurants provided the food. Smirnoff provided the vodka. Cuervo, Sapporo and others provided the beer.
Leftover Salmon did a four-day benefit run in Colorado to honor ailing Salmon member Mark Vann (who passed away months later). They asked us to open for them at the 1st show. It was a very special night.
We opened for the incomparable Dark Star Orchestra at Sweet's, Oakland's answer to the Fillmore. This gig was a benefit sponsored by the Musicians for Medical Marijuana.
